Oil Painting Process

Oil Painting Process is a five-week course that will lead you through my process of creating a painting from start to finish. This class will take you through my technique of selecting color pallets and pigments, laying out drawings, blocking in, and layering colors for a rendered finish.

The class will consist of 2 hour weekly lessons at Studio 12 in Denver. All classes will include explanations of concepts used in each class, followed by extensive painting demonstrations. Live lessons will offer an opportunity for 1-1 feedback and demonstrations where you can work in sync with me during demos, ask questions, and receive feedback in real-time.

Course dates are weekly Sunday evenings at 6:00pm on the following dates.

August 23

August 30

September 6

September 13

September 20

Alternative Sunday times may be available if you are unable to attend a given date with prior notice.

This course is adaptable for those with both no experience and intermediate experience in oil painting. It is recommended that you attend at least four of the five sessions in order to have a mostly completed project.

For this class a preset design of “Hands with Candelabra” will be the base design with many options for alterations and individual edits. You will take home your 24”x36” painting at the end of class.

All supplies will be provided.

Registration Refund Policy

Refunds for registration are subject to a 20$ processing tee, deducted trom the total retund.

No refunds are provided 7 days before the start of the course. Remember that when you register for a course, you hold a seat that cannot be filled by somebody else once the course starts.
